C-130 Hercules
SAFE Air has years of experience providing services, inspections and overhauls on the Royal New Zealand Air Force’s C-130 Hercules aircraft.
SAFE Air is co-located with the RNZAF at Base Woodbourne and all our aircraft engineers are trained by the RNZAF to their latest standards.
Our services include paint stripping and removing components for inspection including fairings, doors and panels. SAFE Air provides Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) and phase (intermediate level maintenance) on the C-130 Hercules.
SAFE Air’s specialised team is trained and authorised in the installation of explosive suppressant foam (ESF) and has worked alongside the RNZAF, Airbus and the Royal Australian Air Force to apply this to the C-130 fleet.
All work by SAFE Air’s engineers is in accordance with the RNZAF’s maintenance guidelines and our capabilities comply with RNZAF skill set requirements.
